Jim is an investor, operator, and three-time entrepreneur. He has deployed over $4 billion in deals across North America and Asia. Prior to Alary Capital, Jim was a Partner at Full In Partners, leading deals and serving as CEO of Pomelo Health, which he sold to Telus Health. He also co-founded MingJian, an AI-powered platform in China. Jim holds an MBA from INSEAD and dual bachelor’s degrees from Wharton and Penn Engineering. A multilingual avid sailor, he’s active in Rotary, having led the Save Kids Lives initiative in China, impacting child road safety laws and training across the country.
Andrew Tratz excels at identifying and capitalizing on high-value opportunities as an entrepreneur, investor, and advisor to growth-stage companies. He founded two health & wellness startups and grew them to profitability without external funding. He has also founded multiple special purpose investment entities, the largest of which achieved a return on equity of over 100%. In addition, he has provided strategic advisory services for private-equity-backed technology companies, including advising a MedTech company which exited with a 25% IRR for investors. Previously he was a senior manager at the Boston Consulting Group where he managed the firm’s globalization and emerging markets practice area. Andrew holds an MBA with distinction from INSEAD, a degree in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve, and is a U.S. Presidential Scholar. He is also an expert in artificial intelligence and has achieved a top-100 Master ranking on the Kaggle artificial intelligence competition platform. Andrew is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He enjoys sailing, poker, and spending time with his two boys.
